Story
This is my 4th marathon attempt. There is clearly something addictive about marathons. There is also something quite wonderful about the routine of marathon training. You can't cheat the training plan, if you don't put the miles in you simply won't get round. Although I find it incredibly tough I also think I am my most focussed and motivated during the 16 weeks training and that spills out in to all areas of my life.
Each time I've tried to raise money for a new charity. This year I am raising money for Mind, the UK's mental health charity. I have many friends and family who struggle with mental health issues and unfortunately it's still very hard for people to admit or ask for help. Mind are there to support people through difficult times, to listen without judging and to offer an online support network for all to access. They do some fantastic work and rely on donations to keep going.
I know I put this out every year so I appreciate I have nagged you for money many times before, but please dig around in your wallet and donate just a few pounds. It all adds up and for the price of a magazine or a morning coffee you can help provide support to people who really need it.
Mega thanks,
Hannah x
