Story
**edit** unfortunately due to covid uncertainties and two hefty injuries I had to defer my 2021 marathon to next year, 2022. Thank you to everyone who had originally donated, I hope to do you proud next year and will keep you all updated as I restart my training!
Hi everyone!
This October I’ve decided to take on the challenge of running a whole 26.2 miles in Budapest in order to raise money for Marie Curie! This will be my first ever marathon and whilst that distance seems daunting at the moment I’m excited to be part of the team at Exeter and I hope to share my running progress with you all on this page!
Marie Curie means a lot to me as my wonderful grandmother sadly passed away in 2012 after a 5 year battle with cancer. She received incredible care from Marie Curie who were there providing support for her and my grandad in their own home right up until the end.
Now more than ever, charities like this need our help and generosity in order to carry out this vital support. A donation of £20 could pay for an hour of nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home.
Thank you for reading my page, any donation no matter how small will make a difference! 💖
