Story
On 9th October I will be abseiling down the Northampton Lift Tower. It is 400ft and the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world!
With me working within Action for Children I get to see first hand how much funds are needed throughout our services. Throughout 2020/2021 we supported over 600,000. Action for Children are continuing to give much needed support and help to those that need it the most during the Covid pandemic.
£10 could pay for a child to have healthy breakfasts and lunches for a week.
£15 could pay for a day’s breakfast, lunch, dinner and essential toiletries for a young person in emergency
accommodation.
£15 could buy mental health journals for 10 young people, helping them to express their feelings
through writing.
£20 could pay for a month’s worth of nappies and wipes for a baby or toddler.
£40 could buy new school uniforms for two children.
£50 could provide an emergency food package for two
families in crisis.
£75 could pay for a family’s gas and electricity for three weeks,
helping them to keep their home warm and cook hot meals.
£100 could buy a bed for a child who doesn’t have a comfortable place
to sleep.
£150 could pay for a weekly food shop for a family worried about feeding
their children.
£200 could buy a cooker for a family so they
can make healthy meals.
£500 could provide an immediate grant to two families who need urgent
help to cover the
costs of essentials like food, bills or baby items.
