Hannah's Scouting Adventure - Cancer Research UK

First person in UK to finish every scout badge · 2 January 2015
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you if you have donate to this charity as it does a great deal.
My name is Hannah and I am a member of Penistone Scout group. I am attempting to be the first scout in the country to get all of the current 75 Scout Activity badges available. I currently have 62 out of the 75 but with many more underway.
In the past year I have spent many hours dedicating my time to learning new skills and have completed some very challenging tasks along the way. I have been Dragon Boating, Gliding, Parascending, Caving, Windsurfing, Narrow Boating, Dingy sailing and rock climbing. I have also attended a very grueling Bear Grylls survival camp where I had to survive with very little food and shelter. I have learned about Astronautics, Engineering and other faiths as well as gaining some Aviation and Nautical skills. I have recently completed over 80 hours on the water in a variety of crafts learning to sail, Kayak and Windsurf.
This is only a short list of the challenges I have been involved in but one of the badges I still have to complete is the fundraiser badge. I am aiming to raise a total of £3000, £1500 for cancer research and £1500 for Penistone Scouts so please give what you can as every penny will be a great help.
I have chosen to support Cancer Research UK because cancer affects a lot of people including members of my family and I think it would be great if I can help people beat cancer through what I enjoy most of all – scouting.
