BHF Night Ride – London to Brighton · 26 May 2012 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The British Heart Foundation is a charity close to my family's heart. I will be doing this bike ride in memory of my Granddad, Patrick Newell who died after suffering a heart attack. The charity is at the forefront of pioneering research into medical advances and treatment for all heart conditions.

Over half of all heart research in the UK is funded by the money you give. And over the next few years we are looking to spend £50 million to give hope to the thousands of people affected by heart failure after a heart attack as part of our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal among many other campaigns.

Please take a look at the 'The kiss of life could be the greatest kiss you ever give' campaign. BHF want every young person to leave school knowing how to save a life. Having Emergency Life Support (ELS) skills should be as important as learning to read and write. Sign the petetion to support the campaign here: http://www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/campaigning/emergency-life-support-skills.aspx

Join with us to get these skills into schools across the UK.

The BHF does wonderful work and supports families living with heart disease.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you! x
