Story
In August, my mum Gemma very sadly passed away from ovarian cancer. Since her diagnosis 3 years ago, the Maggie’s Centre in Oxford was a safe haven for mum and I, supporting us every step of the way. Mum absolutely loved the centre and she made some wonderful friends there. She fundraised herself for Maggie’s, and was even asked by the centre to represent them at the House of Commons, which she did even though she was part way through treatment.
Mum was the most kind and generous person, which anyone who met her would know. She was always supporting causes and going out of her way to help people, even when she was very unwell herself. I am fundraising for Maggie’s in her memory as they are an absolutely wonderful charity who help so many people just like us. The centre meant so much to mum and so any support in her memory would mean the world to me and my family.
