So, my aim is to raise at least £800 for ICS the International Citizen Service. ICS runs so that 7,000 young people from the UK and overseas can volunteer like myself on projects in the developing world and fight poverty. ICS programs work closely in communities to allow people to have better access to health care, increase protection against HIV and AIDS, to help farmers on sustainable development, improve education and uses sport and other activities to build life skills. Currently these projects are being carried out in many countries across both Asia and Africa and in January 2015 I am luck enough to be able to go out and take part in one of these projects.
