Sadly, 10 years ago, on the 11th March 2013 Dev sadly lost his fight to fibrosis of the lungs. He was a described as a 'people person', and was an inspirational man. He had a heart of gold and was a true character.

Lung fibrosis is a lung disease that causes scaring of the lungs. The scarring of the lung tissue results in the permanent reduction in the ability to supply oxygen to the body. The more that scarring of the tissue occurs, the less the patient is able to breathe properly. Currently there is no known cure or way to reverse the scarring on the lungs. If we can raise awareness and support this charity then more research can be done to save lives.

10 years ago I ran two marathons to raise some money in memory of Dev, and although I swore I would never do a marathon again, here I am doing my FOURTH!
