Phil & Hannah's Great North Run!
Fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK
Fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK
Hi everyone! Phil & Hannah have decided to complete the Simplyhealth Great North Run in memory of Hannah’s brother Greg, who had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and sadly died in August 2005 aged 19 years.
The money we raise will help to fund research into new treatments and hopefully a cure for all types of MD.
For anyone who knew Greg, or knows anyone with MD, you will understand what a devastating condition it is, for the person affected and for their families and friends who have to watch their loved one deteriorate over the years and ultimately die long before their proper time.
Despite all the challenges he faced, Greg was a total trooper and rarely complained. He just got on with things and never saw himself as a victim, lessons we can all learn from when things get a bit too much for us.
We want to complete this challenge for him, and for all the other families who are affected by this condition.
We realise that times are tight at the moment but every pound you donate will help get us closer to our target of £700 and also closer to finding a cure for this horrible disease.
You can donate via text - PMHF96 and the value you want to donate £?? to 70070
Or alternatively through our 'Just Giving' page!
We hugely appreciate anything you can give.
Thanks in advance!
