Story
In what is perhaps a foolish decision given the way my hayfever stops me from breathing properly I'm once again doing a sponsored run for which I am wholly unprepared. The good news is a half-marathon it ain't.
Regardless, I hope you'll sponsor me and donate to MAG, an excellent charity doing great, vital work.
MAG is an international charity and a co-laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize currently working in 15 countries. MAG helps conflict-affected communities by clearing landmines and unexploded weapons like cluster bombs and grenades, so communities can start to rebuild their lives. Removing these weapons means that people can reclaim their land for farming and provide food for their families, children can go to school again and vital transport routes can be reopened to facilitate trade and travel. This is essential work for any meaningful development. Most recently, MAG has been helping Syrian refugees who have fled over the border into Iraq.
