Story

I've joined #TeamStOswalds in 2022 for the largest half-marathon in the world! I will be running in memory of my brother-in-law, Andy Bunting, who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in May 2018 at the age of 37.

St Oswald's Hospice provided fantastic in-patient care to Andy and massive support to him and Sophie throughout his time there. St Oswald's and all their amazing staff managed to make it a real home away from home, allowing Tilly (Andy and Sophie's cockerpoo) to stay with them while they spent Christmas in the hospice. Andy did all his physio at St Oswald's and spent time with Sophie at their relaxation classes. The hospice also offered fantastic counselling throughout Andy's illness. I am running the Great North Run to say a massive thank you to St Oswald's and to help them continue all the amazing work they do for families in Newcastle.

St Oswald's Hospice are supporting everyone, whether we're seasoned runners, or even if its our first Great North Run ever! By running the Great North Run 2022 with St Oswald's I am committing to raise a minimum of £350 towards the work of the Hospice. If you can spare any change and donate to such an amazing cause or if you'd like to join me on the team please get in touch with either Bethany or Emily on 0191 246 9123. Thanks for sponsoring me for being part of something incredible for St Oswald's Hospice.
