Story

There are no words to express the gratitude I feel for all the team at GOSH but simply put the staff saved my daughters life - more than once! Scarlett is now a determined 4 year old but if it wasn't for the dedicated staff at GOSH she would not be here today. Scarlett was born with a TGA - a heart condition, something we were aware of prior to her birth, but the complications that followed her birth were very much unexpected, leading to sepsis, multiple organ failure and sadly a large stroke. They were kind, compassionate and very responsive to both Scarlett and our needs as parents. I feel huge admiration for everyone who contributed to our time as a family at the hospital- from the surgeons who preformed miracles on her heart, the nurses who spotted potentially life threatening conditions, volunteers who were heart felt and supportive at all of the right times to all the staff in-between. Running this marathon gives me the opportunity to give a little something back to this amazing hospital, it holds a huge spot in my heart.
