We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

I am organising the 2nd Alice Park Zumbathon to raise awareness for the MS Society, Bath & District Group.

I chose the MS Society for personal reasons. A few years back an MRI scan showed demilination on my brain and I was told I may develop MS, they couldn’t be sure of the strength of it, if at all I would ever notice I have it, but hearing the news was scary and hard to not think about on a daily basis. I had no knowledge of the disease until this point, I was unaware of the different types of MS that you can develop, unaware of treatments and the daily struggle it causes sufferers. Until you are told news such as this, you don’t realise how much the worry alone can have such an impact you on. After 10 years of worry, false alarms and checks a new MRI Scan showed no change, giving me the news I am so grateful to hear, that no change means very unlikely that MS will develop. I know some very strong, amazing people who do have MS and I would like my event to help us raise awareness about what MS really is and the effect it has on sufferers and their loved ones.

Thank you for your support.
