Story
Hello Everyone :)
I am going to run the Fleet half marathon in March 2011 to raise money for the charity Kidney Cancer UK. As some of you may be aware my Dad was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in June 2010. My Dad was due to do a bike ride from Farnham to the South of France for charity in July 2010, during the training he picked up what he thought was a stomach muscle strain and decided to have this checked out before his long bike ride. In doing so they discovered he had a 7cm tumour in his left kidney (size of two tennis balls). He got seen by Neil Barber a leading urologists who acted quickly and removed the kidney and tumour in July 2010. Since then he has been making a remarkable recovery and is now planning to ride from John O’Groats to Lands End in July 2011 in aid of Kidney Cancer
Dad has inspired me with his courage and strength and I have decided to run this half marathon for my Dad and to raise money for Kidney Cancer UK to help others who are in very similar situation to my Dad.
Please support this worthy cause that has become a personal one for me and make a donation, I appreciate times are hard but even a pound would help and if you’re a tax payer please tick the box so the charity can get the rebate from the tax man.
Many thanks for reading this and your support.
Love Hannah
