There are an estimated 40.3 million people in modern slavery around the world (10 million of which are children).

Only around a decade ago very few people in the UK were aware that slavery still exists in Britain today. Thanks to the work of Anti-Slavery International, the Modern Slavery Act was passed in March 2015, but there is far more work that needs to be done. Anti-Slavery International are now working to eliminate slavery and child labour from supply chains - holding big businesses to account for ensuring their profits aren't bolstered by human rights abuses.

We'll be running the gruelling 21km on 29th March 2020. Hannah is aiming to finally smash the 2-hour barrier after running the Manchester half last October in 2:03! This is Ben's very first half marathon.

We will be spending many dark, cold and rainy mornings/evenings trudging around Manchester in our running shoes - but it will all be more than worth it to raise money for Anti-Slavery's cause!
