Story
I am running (slipping / sliding) the muddy dog 5k in April.
In my family we have always had rescue or rehomed dogs. From our late family bitch Judy who we gave a forever home after an elderly man couldn’t look after her as a pup.
To my 1 year old sprolie - Remington - he was going to end up with a not so happy ending as a result of being an unwanted farm pup. I homed him and I think we both found each other at the right time. He needed a home and I have needed him ever since.
Remington will be doing this challenge by my side, where he has been over the last 12 months.
To ensure someone else can have so much joy from giving a dog or cat their forever home then these guys need our help to keep taking in these animals or keeping them safe while their owners have gone through a tragedy - like the Grenfell tower fire.
