Anoushka, Dan and I are going for a 10 mile walk in Holkham, Norfolk  on the 4th October to raise funds for the Astro Fund in memory of Sameera who passed away last December from brain cancer.

Sameera was first diagnosed with a low grade astrocytoma back in 2005.  With the fantastic team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and their pioneering work Sameera had a wonderful 14 years with us after her diagnosis.  We miss her.

Each year in the UK, over 9,400 people, including around 400 children, are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. But they are hard to treat and around 5,000 people in the UK lose their lives to the disease every year. This is why the Astrofund's work is so important  .
