As many of you will know I am having a Gap Year now that I have left Mary Hare before going to Chelsea College of Art and Design in September 2009.

As part of my Gap Year, I will be joining Raleigh International's project in India in February 2009 and I need to raise a total of £3,000 to pay for my participation.

The programme I will join in India will consist of an environmental project, a community project and an adventure project.  All these projects take place in remote areas rarely accessed by tourists from the field base in Mysore.

Mysore is approximately 8,000km from London and to reflect this, I am doing an 8,000m (approximately 325 lengths!) swim to raise the money I need to join the programme.
