Story
Hamish and Seb are planning to complete 50 laps of Arthur Seat in total and this means 20,000 feet climbed (2/3's height of Everest)
We are fundraising for the Marie Curie charity and hospice whose
fund-raising activities have been severely impacted by the coronavirus which makes our time volunteering at the hospice impossible for now. Instead, we want to help support the charity by making the best use of our spare time and raise essential funds for this important 3rd sector charity which depends on charity to survive. We love sport and keeping fit and thought, what better way to combine the two aims than by cycling and raising funds at the same time.
The challenge is to cycle 160 miles in a day, (80 miles
each). We plan to abide by lockdown guidelines and stay local making the best use of the nearby Arthur Seat on our doorstep.
On Monday 25th May we will start at 6 am and we aim to complete the
the challenge which you can track on Strava on a given link on the day and night before the challenge!
In this time of national emergency, we hope you will support
our fundraising effort. Please donate to help Marie Curie nurses and hospices care for all of the terminally ill people and their families at this unprecedented time of need.
