Story
During last summer a close friend of mine was diagnosed with
Hodgkin's Lymphoma an uncommon cancer most prevalent in young people between 15-34 years old and over 60 years old. The work that The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity have done is nothing short of outstanding and have been a great support. a description of their work is below;
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve
the lives of people affected by cancer.
I will be running/ walking the Challenge Ultra 50km event in the Peak District on the 8th July in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. It is roughly the equivalent distance from where I am sitting here at Harper Adams University to Chester. Whilst climbing just over the height of Ben Nevis. Any support would be much appreciated in helping a charity which has not only helped my friend, but could be helping your friend tomorrow.
Thank you
Hamish
