Story
I am running 8 races over 8 weeks. This is the most psychotic thing I have ever done but I am doing it for a very worthy cause because of what has happened to a very great friend.
Please read a the reasoning for my madness.
Written by Sophie Bacon (2013):
As many of you may (or may not) know, earlier this year my Daddy (James Bacon) was diganosed with cancer and worst of all we are told it is incurable.
On finding this out my life as I knew it turned upside down as I had to watch my daddy go through various treatments, surgery, scans, medications and diagnostics all in attempt to keep the cancer under control.
This is hardest thing I have ever had to come to terms with. No words can describe the pain and the fear of what is happening and what tomorrow may bring.
Fortunatley for me and my family I have got the BRAVEST and STRONGEST daddy a little girl could ever ask for. His attitude to life and what it brings has led me to believe that there is more to life than meets the eye.
We are taking each and every day as it comes and we are climbing each stupid mountain that appears in our paths along the way.
My daddy's health is dependant upon the medication available to which is heavily reliant on funding and it is for this reason that myself and a group of ladies are getting together to run Race for Life in July.
I am running race for life this year in loving memory of my Grandad, Debs, Michelle and all those that have lost their battle with cancer. And of course my Daddy and all other people that are fighting it!!!
Please please please sponser me in attempt to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK! It means A LOT and goes a long way in support those in need.
