My 17 year old sister Daisy suffers from cerebral palsy and as a result is severely disabled. Northamptonshire Heath Charitable Fund provides funding to the John Greenwood Shipman Centre (JGS), along with 2 other respite centres, which is a centre that provides respite for her and others affected with similar disabilities. Daisy thoroughly enjoys JGS as it offers a change of scenery and company. My parents also greatly appreciate the service that JGS provides and offers them a break from the 24hr care they usually provide. JGS has allowed my parents to spend time alone together after years of not having that opportunity.
