Having lived in both large cities like Washington DC and the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as smaller communities in Oregon and Colorado, I’ve witnessed the different health conditions and needs of communities. I have noticed a common thread affects people’s health, irrespective of where they live.

Poverty is one of the most critical social determinants of health.

While the life science and biotech industry that my company LINUS and I work with already creates mind-blowing innovations to improve health and wellness, we know we can make even more immediate impact to health by fighting poverty.

That’s why I’m extremely grateful to join a group of executives to trek across the White Mountains of New Hampshire to raise money for Life Science Cares in support of their mission to fight poverty.
