Hambleside Danelaw's Chosen Charity

Our chosen charity this year is the Royal British Legion. We want to raise as much money as we can for this amazingly noble cause. The charity has been running since the 1920s, initially with the main purpose 'to care for those who had suffered as a result of a service in the Armed Forces during the war'. Today they help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families all year round.

The money raised for this charity contributes to a huge range of things including finance, care, recovery, respite and employment. You can find out more information on their website https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/

Armistice Centenary - Say Thankyou!

It was on November 11 at 11am 100 years ago the guns fell silent on the world's first truly global war. The anniversary is an opportunity to think about all of those who lived through this tragic time - and who put Britain on the path to becoming what it is today. 

The Royal British Legion has a 100 years thank you campaign - which is the campaign the company is supporting in as many ways as possible.

EVERY ONE REMEMBERED

One element has been for individuals from Hambleside Danelaw to support the ‘Every one Remembered’ as part of the 100 years thank you campaign. 

We have been remembering soldiers that fought in the war, some of which are family associations or soldiers that haven’t yet been remembered from employee's home towns. With still so many left to remember (over 480,000 – figure taken on 12.09.18), it is something everyone can get involved in.

Wolf Run - NOW COMPLETED!

9 Hambleside Danelaw employees hit the Wolf Run with full force. Though people completed it at different times, we all managed to complete the 10k obstacle muddy madness in just over 2 hours. There are still some bruising and still some recovering to do while we manufacture quality roofing products. 

We would like to say thank you for those that came to support us on the day, or/and donated, we are ecstatic about the money we have raised so far.
