Story
A group of friends from Hall Street Church, Llanelli are taking up the 300,000 steps in May challenge to raise funds for Christian Aid. Our team includes: Anna Bird, Anne Samuel, Caroline James, Kevin and Lori Havard.
The climate crisis hurts us all, but people living in poverty are disproportionately impacted. From drought to flooding, climate change robs people of control over their lives. We are fundraising for Christian Aid as our gift could help a community build an earth dam, so when the rains do come, they will have the water they need to live. A reliable source of water will help families withstand long drought or relentless rainstorms.
Everyone is equal in the sight of God. Yet we live in a world where poverty still persists. Poverty robs people of their dignity and lets injustice thrive. Christian Aid works in 37 countries, with people of all faiths and none, to stand up for dignity, equality and justice. We stand together with our global neighbours. Together we can create a world where everyone can live.
Thank you for your gift and support.
