"WORLD'S LARGEST PINK BLANKET"

Anyone can take part from anywhere on the blanet!

The only criteria is as follows:

* Each patch needs to be of 12x12cm size

* The background fabric needs to be pink! but any shade.

* You can use any form of textile media for your patch, some ideas are embroider,quilt, knit, crochet, weave, lace, machine stitch, bead, print, hand print, lip stick kiss, signature etc...............you get the idea anything go's including a plain patch!

*When submitting your patch you can also send it with a form, as each patch is numbered and documented. Also if you want to leave a message, memorie, congratulations for all clear or hello feel free to leave it in the quote box and it will be documented.

Why are the patch's being documented?

Each patch is being numbered whether a form is submitted or not, all personal details left for gift aid are sent to cancer reseach but only leave them if your a tax payer and happy to do so as your details will be kept confidential. The quote box is where you can leave a personal message to go along with the patch and the idea is to in the nd have a book published with images of the patches and the messages a bit like the secret post card concept only all the money will go to cancer research.

How much are we getting paid?

Nothing, this is all volenteers and anyone can help by either sewing the patch's, documenting the patch's, keeping records, handing out some of the leaflets to your friends or local pubs, groups etc or posting one abroad to a friend!, or simply coming down to the studio and tea making for the volunteers! you can contact the textiles studio 203 on 07826799434 or email xtilestudioworkshop@live.co.uk we will get back to you!

The blanket is in memory of every mother, father, sister, brother, aunty, uncle, granma, grandpa, cousin, nephew, niece, friend, lover, neighbour, teacher, baker, postman, news agent, waitress, bee keeper, nurse,doctors ................................... to everyone who has been effected by cancer, there familys, friends, there carers everyone! But I would like to dedicate the first patch to my grandpa Ken Budding who passed away december 24th 2011. To all my family and friends I love you all!
