By the will of Allah, this project has sought to raise funds for the development of sustainable infrastructure in generally alienated regions within Kenya. Muslim Charity has kindly opened the door of opportunity for PYO FC and Ummah Treatz to commence a global initiative. The project sincerely hopes to raise funds, particularly for three collective developments through YOUR support this Ramadan. Under the guidance and supervision of Allah, we wholeheartedly believe in the fruits of YOUR charitable effort this Ramadan and here's why.

An estimated 30% of children in Kenya do not attend school. Most of these children are from deprived backgrounds where the day to day struggle includes the shortage of water, sanitation, and access to education. Almost 26% of all youth aged between 5 and 14 years are forced to forego education due to extreme poverty. We hope to support schools in the rural areas and the children who live in the slums of Kibera. Children who attend school are less likely to face the dangers and offers from gangs ready to assimilate them into gangs and criminality and, worse, traffic them into sexually abusive and punishing work. Many children work on plantations in backbreaking labour, while others work in back street alleys in dangerous and horrendous conditions. Children who cannot find a job are often left with only the option to beg to leave them prey for traffickers. Schools provide a safe place for children to grow and learn, and they are places where children can seek help, advice, and be inspired.

How Do We Help?

Under the leadership and expertise of Muslim Charity, we have established opportunities to continue their ongoing effort to mitigate these terrible circumstances through self-sustaining developments within the hearts of these affected communities. The project has sought to bring forth the following developments to fruition and, in doing so, preserve the religion, culture and heritage of this beautiful region.

Masjid

Insha'Allah, we plan to build a masjid that will accommodate up to 300 worshippers at any given time. From Fajr to Isha, the walls of this beautiful mosque will bear witness to some of the most graceful recitations of the Quran. Prophet Muhammed PBUH is reported to have said. "Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, be it large or small, Allah will build a house in Paradise" Sunan-al-Tirmidhi. We wish for you to bear this reward.

School

The second development entails a School whereby education is the predominant curriculum. The school has a dual purpose, also serving as a school teaching other fundamental curriculums such as English, Maths and Science. Insha'Allah, we hope that our donors can resonate with the importance of education in escaping both the mental and physical constraints of poverty.

Water Solution

This aspect of the project offers the local community and villagers a water solution infrastructure enabling a self-sustaining provision of water. Through your help, together, we can install this water solution to quench the thirst of the locals who find themselves travelling miles for poor quality hydration. Together, we can provide this project and all donors with Sadaqa E Jaariya, the natural gift that keeps on giving.

Progressive Youth Organisation (PYO) was established in 1973 and continues to be a pillar within the Tower Hamlets community. PYO has pioneered change within its local and extended community and has left a lasting imprint upon many young minds through sports, leisure and youth work. The organisation firmly believes in cultivating relationships between critical decision-makers in the community and young people, ensuring a sustainable and progressive future tailored to the changing demographics in Tower Hamlets.

UMMAH TREATZ

Ummah Treatz started in 2020 and has since worked with the community and different charities and organisations to raise money to provide necessities for the less fortunate. Our charity has been formulated on the idea that this ummah is just like one body, and therefore we aim to raise money for different countries around the globe. We hope to inspire the community and young individuals to do their part when it comes to charity whilst simultaneously promoting togetherness, solidarity and unity amongst one another.
