Story

We are a team of five ex runners pushing our friend and former local athlete Drew Graham in his wheelchair. Drew suffered a life changing accident in 2014 breaking his neck at C4/C5. He lost the use of his legs, partial use of his arms, and now heavily relies on a full time care team, to help him live independently. In 2016 Drew set up the charity Gym Possible to help other wheelchair users and people with mobility issues to rehabilitate and to improve their mental and physical health. We are running to raise money for The Matt Hampson Foundation who will be partnered with Gym Possible going forward. Drew always dreamed of doing the Great North Run but never got round to it prior to his injury. Now we are making this challenge possible for him and will hopefully raise lots of money for the Matt Hampson Foundation and Gym Possible along the way!
