October 10th is World Homeless Day.  Cathy and I will be marking this day by sleeping out overnight at The Kia Oval to raise funds for Depaul International and their work to tackle homelessness in the UK and around the world. Our experience will be nothing compared to the real experience that so many vulnerable people face of living on the streets but we are doing it to raise awareness of the issues as well as  - hopefully - to raise some money to fund vital projects. 

Last year Depaul International managed over 80 such projects and services, providing shelter, food, medical care, education, training and support to over 21,000 people affected by homelessness.
