Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) · 4 May 2023

We Provide Christmas toy sacks to disadvantaged children in the UK

Story

Along with 11 other riders I am going to attempt to ride the whole route of the Giro d'Italia 2023, two days ahead of the pros in the actual  race.

The whole gruelling experience will involve:

- Riding all 21 stages of the race

- 3,450 km total distance

- 51,300 metres of climbing - the equivalent of sea level to Everest 6 times

The ride is raising money for The Toy Appeal, registered charity, #1179080, which provides sacks of toys at Christmas to children 2-17 years old living in poverty across the North West of England. All donations go to charity, the ride is self-funded.

About the charity

We provide Christmas Toy Sacks to under privileged children each year, who otherwise would have no presents to open on Christmas morning. Each child receives a red sack with their name on, made specific to their age & any special needs. Please help us Give a child a Christmas
