Guy H , I am back on dialysis after 2 failed transplants . Each year I am challenging myself to just push the boundaries of what other people think is possible on dialysis. In 2017 , I walked 1000 miles in the year . This year it is the iconic London 2 Paris bike ride. To achieve it I have joined forces on a tandem  with Guy Keating who has sadly gone blind in the last 2 years. Between us, I have 3% kidney function and he has 3% eyesight so we make quite a pair - 2'special'Guys you might say . I have to say the 280 miles over 4 days is daunting and physically very demanding for us , but the willingness and determination is there , so thank you for your donation.

It seems very appropriate to do the trip for  Kidneys 4 Life who  exist because a large number of the population have chronic kidney disease and this is only going to get worse as we put on weight and live longer. Whilst it is more likely to affect you when you get older, all ages are at risk and can develop kidney failure needing dialysis and possibly a kidney transplant. We are looking for kidneys to last a lifetime with our research.
