Story
After some time waiting for the pandemic to ease and looking for a suitable secondhand vessel, I am finally in a position to set off on my adventure. The intention is to depart solo from my home port of Teignmouth in Devon and navigate a clockwise circumnavigation of UK. The vessel is a well proven Seaward 25 twin screw motor boat with good seakeeping qualities. The length of voyage is anticipated to be 35 days utilising marinas where available and anchorages, however weather conditions will obviously play an important part in how long it takes. This of course has been done numerous times before, even on a paddle board! However being 73 I need to prove I'm still capable, whilst raising funds for an organisation which serves the country so bravely. Mrs Folley has concerns about the quality of victuals and laundry but I'm trying to lose weight in any case!
I will attempt to write regular vlogs throughout the trip to keep you updated.

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.Thank you.
