Story
I have decided to put my love for adventure and fundraising together and will be going out on the 4th April 2014 to do the Everest Base Camp trek. This will involve some 20 days of trekking and climbing to get to base camp and then on to Kala Pattar which is some 5545 metres above sea level. Temperatures will reach below -10 on occasions ( I won’t be complaining about the UK weather!!).
Whilst I have been training hard for months now I know it will be all worth it as I am raising funds for Action for Children.
Action for Children are a charity dedicated to helping prevent youth homelessness. Action for Children helps to prevent youth homelessness through early intervention by ensuring that young people across the UK are given the support they need before it's too late. Action for Children’s research believe that 73% of UK children know another child who is suffering from neglect. Urgent action is needed to help children and families get the help they need.
This is a wonderful charity and I was hoping that you would sponsor me in raising funds for these young people who need our support.
