Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We wanted to take a minute to tell you why we've decided to take on the Isle of Wight challenge for Guide Dogs UK.
Guide Dogs is a charity that helps blind and visually impaired people of all ages to have independence again. They achieve this, in part, through their Guide Dog training program, where they train mans best friend to support those who are visually impaired; helping them in everyday tasks that we take for granted, but there is more to the charity than the dogs;
- they provide support and confidence building services for visually impaired people,
- they educate the public about eye care,
- fund research, and
- campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment.
Visual impairment can affect anyone, at anytime. That's why Sandra, Doug and I are doing the 106km Isle of Wight Challenge.
Guide Dogs rely solely on public support, so we are asking you to make the biggest donation you can for this wonderful cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
