Smiths News MSC and Instore have joined forces to raise money in support of two charities for 2013, Headway Worcester Trust (soon to be Headway Worcestershire) and the British Heart Foundation, raising £5000 between them.

We chose Headway after the terrible loss of a colleague close to our hearts, who was renowned across the Magazine industry, Nigel Dean. Throughout his ordeal, Headway gave unparalleled support to his family and friends. This is our opportunity to thank Headway for their services and support them through the increasing demand of their expertise.

The Headway Worcester Trust currently provides FREE services to over 200 people with brain injuries and their families a week, across the Worcestershire County. Every week they gain additional referrals and need our help in order to expand. They employ only 63 staff and have a further 30 or so volunteers to maintain their service offer, putting their entire operation under constant and growing pressure. The money we raise will go straight to providing the essential care and equipment needed by those families.
