If not me, then who? If not now, then when? 

I genuinely want to help children be healthy, have access to education, and have opportunities afforded to them that they would not otherwise have. I am incredibly humbled and excited to have been selected as 1 of 40 participants that will be trekking over 60 miles in the highlands of Northern Vietnam to raise money for Save the Children. Together as a team we plan to raise $225,000 to support mothers and their new-born babies in Vietnam and in many other countries. I will be travelling with GSK colleagues from 24 countries, coming together for this common goal. At the end of the trek we will see the work first hand that Save the Children supports in Vietnam and visit communities that will benefit from these funds. 

My personal commitment is to raise $5600 and every penny will be matched by GSK. My challenge starts now through training and fundraising. I hope to witness the conditions in Vietnam first hand, assist where I can, and return home to tell the story and inspire others to become more involved in global charity efforts.
