Story
In 2017, I was a PULSE volunteer and was honoured to help others in Nigeria. This experience deeply moved me and really encouraged me to look for more opportunities to give something back and provide help. I was engaged in several volunteering programs during one-year sabbatical and loved the openness and gratefulness of people in return. These qualities are great inspiration for me to do more. My Trek for Kids challenge starts now through training and fundraising.
I am 1 of 40 trekkers that will be trekking over 100km in the highlands of Northern Vietnam to raise money for Save the Children. Together we plan to raise £180,000 to support mothers and their new-born babies in Vietnam and in many other countries. I will be travelling with GSK colleagues from 24 countries, coming together for this common goal. At the end of the trek we will see the work first hand that Save the Children supports in Vietnam and visit the one of the communities that will benefit from these funds. My personal commitment is to raise £4,500 and every penny raised will be matched by GSK.
If you would like to donate to such a great cause, please do so via this JustGiving page and it really means a lot to me. Thank you :)
