Could you do a fashion fast for April?
Fast Fashion is the drive to increase profits and get products into our high street shops faster and faster. The drive to sell more, consume more, make more, waste more. This, however, has disastrous consequences for the people who make our clothes.
The Six Items Challenge is a fashion fast. It is designed to challenge fast fashion and raise vital funds for our work fighting for the rights of garment workers.
How does it work?
The idea is simple select six items of clothing from your wardrobe and pledge to wear only these every day for the month of April. Then ask friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to sponsor you.
You can have unlimited access to underwear, accessories and footwear. Youre even allowed to have your gym wear or uniforms in addition to your six. But your main items of clothing trousers, dresses, tops, skirts, jumpers, shirts or cardigans must remain the same throughout.
