Fundraising for Group B Strep Support
Unfortunately like so many people I hadn’t heard of Group B Strep during my first pregnancy. Thankfully, my story has a happy ending and my son Jackson is a healthy happy 6 year old. However for many others this is sadly not the case. I chose GBSS as I really want to do my part to help educate and raise awareness and support the charity in their mission, particularly as this infection can be prevented in most cases.
Group B Strep Support
Group B Streptococcus is the UK's most common cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies and of meningitis in babies under age 3 months. On average in the UK, at least-two babies a day develop a group B Strep infection -one baby a week dies from their GBS infection, and-one baby a week survives with long-term disabilities – physical, mental or both. Yet most group B Strep infections are preventable. Group B Strep Support informs families & health professionals about group B Strep to save tiny lives.

The #S7100 Campaign
As an agency, Search Seven pledges to donate 7% of it's profits to charity every year via fundraising and donations, and each team member can support a cause that is close to their heart. For me, Group B Strep Support resembles just that, after all the incredible support they provide to families.
Following on from the success of our recent #Share77k campaign, where we raised an incredible £77,000 for our chosen charities, we have now set our sights on the big £100,000 and as part of the #S7100 Charity Campaign, funds donated to this page would be matched up to £150 by Search Seven, with the overall goal of raising £300.
As part of my fundraising, I will be meeting up with the rest of the S7 team to walk the London Landmarks half marathon.
