Our son, Grey, was born prematurely on 17th November 2019 (coincidentally World Prematurity Day), at 31 weeks. In the days that followed his birth we discovered, devastatingly, that our darling boy had a severe congenital brain abnormality.

On 8th December 2019, 21 days after he was born, our sweet boy slipped away in my arms. Grey was looked after by the wonderful team at the William Harvey NICU. Grey’s time in the NICU was rather like going through hell, in heaven - the neonatal nurses and doctors are truly angels - we couldn’t have got through this without them.

Tiny Toes is the fund for the WHH NICU who looked after Grey, dedicated to taking care of babies who are born early, sick, or both, and supporting their parents and families.
