Greta Treks in Jordan

Trek Jordan 2018 · 18 September 2018 ·
This September I'll be joining one of War Child most incredible partners, Allen & Overy, to trek 60 kilometres across the mountainous desert, in aid of children affected by conflict.
One minute I'm super excited to be trekking across Jordan’s gorgeous landscapes, rated as one of the world’s best hikes by National Geographic, and the other I'm already sweating from the thought of having to do it in sweltering heat. If you know me, you know that I'm a human radiator so the heat situation is a genuine concern and it will definitely be a massive challenge.
Your donations would mean the world to me and the children we support.
Less than 3% of humanitarian aid is spent on child protection in conflict-affected regions. War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. They protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children. By making a donation, you will be making a difference to thousands of children whose lives have been turned upside-down by conflict. You’ll be helping them receive the care and support they need to overcome the traumas they’ve suffered and you’ll be helping to transform their futures for the better.
Below is a guide of how your donations and the overall fundraising will make an actual difference.
A gift of…
£5 could provide books and stationary for 1 child at summer school
£20 could provide a “school kit” to help a former street working child get back into education
£30 could pay for toys to help a group of children learn at an early education centre
£100 could pay for a child to go to school for a year
£250 could pay for a child to have trauma counselling for a year
£500 could turn a young person’s dreams into a reality by funding literacy, life skills and vocational training for a year
£1,000 could save a child’s life by reuniting them with their family or placing them with a safe foster family.
Thank you so much!!
