Story
As many of you already know, our little miracle Molly-Mae arrived on December 12th 2021 weighing just 1lb 15oz. She was born very prematurely at 26 weeks, her due date not being until March 17th 2022.
Molly has fought against all the odds, overcoming a bleed on the brain, hole in the heart, ROP and 5 blood transfusions. She is an incredible little fighter and after over 3 months in hospital, we are hoping to have her home very soon.
This journey has been a rollercoaster, full of ups and downs, twists and turns and I'll be honest, it's been hard. I've suffered a lot of mum guilt as I've discovered it's not possible to be in two places at once and our little family has been divided between home and hospital. The hardest part has been that our daughter Maisie, now aged 4, has not yet been able to meet her baby sister, nor have any of Mollys wider family.
Throughout Mollys 13 week hospital stay, we have been supported massively by the staff at Princess Royal Hospital Telford who work in conjunction with Hope House Children's Hospice. Hope House provide help and support to babies, children and families such as ours and also those who are less fortunate to be able to bring their child home.
On July 6th, along with one of Mollys nurses from the hospital Greg will be Wing Walking to raise some funds for Hope House. This is an opportunity for us to be able to give something back and help Hope House to help others. We never anticipated experiencing just what we are now and certainly never thought that we would be supported by such a charity as Hope House.
The Wing Walk will be taking place on July 6th 2022 at Rendcomb Airfield in Cirencester. We would love you to come along to support Greg but please, if you can spare a few pounds to support Hope House and help them to help more children and families like ours. ❤️
*Greg would like to add that he will be paying the fee for the actual wing walking flight. This fee will not be taken from the donations.
