Story
A really BIG thank-you to everyone who has sponsored me. I covered about 50 pretty gruelling miles from Dorset to the New Forest and then from Southampton to Portsmouth Harbour.
We reached Pegasus Bridge at 00.16 on Saturday 6 June 2009 - exactly 65 years to the minute that our predecessors first glider landed. I also have exceeded my sponsorship target so, on behalf of all those who will benefit from your generosity, many, many thanks.
You can find out more about Project 65 by going to www.project65.net and also my own website www.smithgs.co.uk - on which I will be posting a report and photos of the event shortly.
The service charities we are supporting are The Royal British Legion, BLESMA, St Dunstan’s, the RAF Benevolent Fund, the Army Benevolent Fund and Help for Heroes.
And becasue the event has now happened doesn't mean you can no longer make a donation! Please give generously. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Project 65 gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks again!
