Marathon UPDATE: I made it to the finish in a time of 4:20:44. It was an epic day - definitely the biggest crowd I've ever experienced at a marathon (including Comrades!) Thanks so muc to everyone of you who have donated - I've exceeded my target of £1000, which is awesome!
This page will expire on 25 July and can still take donations up until that date.
Hi everyone!
On Sunday, 25 April 2010, I ran the London Marathon and I hope to raise as much money as possible for a wonderful charity called Thembalitsha UK - Village of Hope. Its an awesome cause that helps AIDS orphans and adults have a better life in the townships near Grabouw in the Western Cape, South Africa. Your donations will help me raise funds which will go directly into helping these people get properly looked after and loved, when there really isn't anywhere for them to go. I'm aiming to raise £1000+. Thanks to everyone who has already made a donation - together we are making a difference!
Click on 'My video (1)' on the left to watch an excellent video about the fantastic work that Thembalitsha UK is doing in the townships of the Western Cape.
Please join me on my journey to the London Marathon and let's make a difference together. It doesn't matter how little or much you give, just give something. Give Rands if you are in SA! Thanks!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please indicate as such, as this will enable your donation to grow by a massive 28% courtesy of the government's Gift Aid contribution!
God bless you!
Love, Gregg
