In August, I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa at almost 20,000 feet. (I needed something a bit more exotic after a cycle ride to Milton Keynes last year.)

I am making this trip off my own back i.e. I am not looking for sponsorship to cover the cost of the trip. But as it involves quite a bit of physical effort, probable pain and discomfort (oxygen starvation and sub zero camping to name but two) and a ridiculous return journey involving 5 flights across half of Africa, I thought I'd try and raise a bit of money for Barnardo's in the process.
