We Make the Difference to sick kids and their families in Tayside

Story

Last year I was fortunate enough to start the 2022 Mighty Stride with a short speech about my son, in 2019 he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent 5 surgeries to remove as much as possible and deal with the damage it had caused. Between then and 2022 all he had required was monitoring and therapy.

Unfortunately one month after talking about how well he was doing, a routine scan revealed that the remaining tumour had started growing again, we are now back on a journey to try and keep it under control. Since September 2022 he has undergone one further surgery and also began weekly chemotherapy, it has been a tough journey but he has taken it in his stride and will continue to for the next year of treatment.

I want to give something back to the Archie Foundation that support Ninewells children's hospital and provide him with activities to do during his long treatments.
