Story
This challenge was more personal than anything I had done previously as my very good friend John Edmondson was diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease and having no known cure, it is basically a killer! However, with the possibly a breakthrough to help cure this debilitating disease and with your help and support there is always hope...
Timing couldn't have been better as during the launch of The MND1000 Challenge Kevin Sinfield of Leeds Rhinos became involved with BBC1 doing 7 marathons in 7 days and has raised over £2m for his rugby league buddy Rob Burrow and MND research...
MND can strike You, Me or Anyone at anytime with around 5,000 being diagnosed each year in the UK. Typical of my mate John he remains very positive and even completed his own MND1000 Challenge of 1,000 press-ups over 10 days... Magnificent! 😘
The MND1000 Challenge was the creation of John and mate Paul Donegan, the idea being to challenge yourself to do a 1000 of whatever over a period best suited to challenge you and achieve your goal! As you can see I’d committed to doing 1000 kilometres on a static bicycle 🚴 and yesterday, Tuesday 8th December I completed my 20th day, theme Christmas... Job done! 🎅🏽
Thank you! Two things many of you have done; you have helped to create awareness and funding for further research to find a cure.

My goal was to support John and MNDA, and loose some timber (weight) and get fitter - I have done that just that! In addition it has provided me with something to focus on during the second lockdown, creating a more positive attitude and a feel good factor!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to MNDA. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you, God bless and Merry Christmas! Greg 🤓🙏🎅🏽
