Fundraising for Young Minds Trust

I’m running from John O’Groats Scotland to Lands End England raising funds and awareness for YounMinds UK.
Over the last few years I’ve known of far too many young adults who have sadly taken their own lives. Tragically, for them, they see no other way out Its heartbreaking to think these youngsters have their whole lives ahead of them, and yet they see no future.
The pressure placed on today’s youngsters through social media, online publications, computer games, school, colleges and Uni, social peer pressure etc is immense. I know they grow up fast, but deep down they are still fragile trying to find their own path in life. Their young minds need empowerment and their mental health needs support.
Being a parent myself, I can’t even begin to imagine the horrific experience of losing a child this way, or in any way! The Devastation, blame and guilt parents naturally feel left behind to deal with must never fully recover from, truly awful.
These youngsters & parents need to know “they are not alone”. YoungMinds UK do amazing work to help youngsters deal with difficult moments in their lives, including giving valuable advice and support to their worried parents, I want to help raise awareness.
