Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday May 19 I will be running 100km in the Australian Blue Mountains. I am dedicating this fundraising effort to my father Basil Cox, who served with 10 Para during Operation Market Garden.
Friends of the Tenth are a group of like-minded individuals committed to perpetuating the memory and legacy of the brave men of the 10th Battalion, the Parachute Regiment so that their part in history shall never be forgotten
To do this Friends of the Tenth aim to raise funding for a commemorative stone sculpture to be erected in the Leicestershire village of Somerby, where the Battalion was stationed in the lead-up to a fateful drop behind enemy lines in the Battle of Arnhem in 1944
