Story
I'm honoured to be helping my old man, Andy Weltch, reach his target of raising £10,000 in 2022 as part of the 'Big Moose Project £1 million', which provides mental health support to help those facing homelessness, considering suicide, or just needing help.
Andy is aiming to raise £10k through a series of running events (and other things!) during the year, but he can't do it alone. So I have decided to take the heavy cargo bike, having first removed the battery, on a gruelling 30k cycle around London. Whatever you can do to help will be much appreciated!
During lockdown, Big Moose provided therapy for many people who needed help with their mental health. Five said that without that intervention, they would have ended their lives!
So, in 2022, Big Moose wants to save many more lives - by raising £1 million to provide timely and effective counselling online and in-person to people in need throughout the UK and potentially overseas too.
Look out for more updates here. He'll also post news on Twitter @aweltch and Insta @andyweltch
In 2020, 5224 people took their own lives in England and Wales. Please help us reduce this number. Thank you in advance.
